The AARC is committed to empowering students with skills and knowledge to transition successfully through Tennessee State University. We are committed to assisting students in two major areas: Instructional Support & Tutoring and Student Academic Support.
AARC Offices
Tutoring & Academic Assistance
The AARC is home to free tutoring and academic assistance in a myriad of classes that students take by supporting students’ academic needs through tutoring and learning support, Peer Tutoring, and P.A.S.S. Tutoring. All tutoring services are free and offered daily.
Academic Recovery
We assist students in Academic Recovery through courses, workshops, and other interventions to assist in them getting back into good Academic Standing.
Academic Advisement & Coaching
Academic advising and coaching, delivered by Student Success Specialists, provides individualized, one-on-one support designed to enhance student skills and academic performance.
Your First Project
The You First Project supports first generation college students with extra support to acheive the goal of graduation.
Success Initiatives
Our success initiatives allow students to enrich themselves in and outside of the classroom experiences academically.
