Annual Africa Conferences

CALL FOR CONFERENCE PAPERS

Each year the d epartment hosts academics, independent scholars, policymakers, and graduate students in a one-day international conference on various themes on African and Diasporan African history. The theme of the next conference to be held on April 10, 2015, is: “The Struggle for Human and Civil Rights in Africa and the African Diaspora in Historical Perspective.” Interested individuals are encouraged to submit abstracts relevant to the conference theme.
