Kara Allen
Biography
Kara Allen graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a Bachelor’s of Science. She began her laboratory career in clinical research and transitioned to an analytical chemist role, spending most of her time at the bench in the pharmaceutical industry. After volunteering with the American Chemical Society on a local and national level for many years, Kara realized her true passion was networking and career development. Kara has over 15 years of experience working as a scientific and healthcare recruiter and consultant. She currently works as the Manager of Recruitment and University Relations for Aegis Sciences Corporation, a Nashville-based forensic toxicology laboratory, where she focuses on recruiting scientists as well as developing relationships with colleges and universities nationwide. As part of her American Chemical Society volunteer work, Kara is currently a National Career Consultant, Chair of the National Committee on Technician Affairs, and is an Alternate Councilor for the Nashville Local Section.
