The Department of Dental Hygiene provides an educational program of excellence for its students. It is committed to delivering ongoing oral health care to all populations.  The department also aims to promote the dental hygiene profession, research, and lifelong learning.


Goals:

 • Prepare dental hygiene professionals capable of delivering quality care.
 • Encourage independent thinking, critical reasoning, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.
 • Foster ethical behavior throughout the dental hygiene career and life.
 • Provide oral health care to all populations.
 • Advance the dental hygiene profession through service learning and civic engagement.
 • Integrate technology effectively throughout the curriculum.
