Publications and Awards

Selma Izadi, Ph.D., joined Tennessee State University in Fall 2021 after being a Finance faculty member at Loyola University of New Orleans for five years. She earned her PhD and MS in Financial Economics from the University of New Orleans. Dr. Izadi earned an MBA in Finance and has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics. Dr. Izadi’s research interests include financial markets, market microstructure, international finance, behavioural finance and portfolio management. She has published several scholarly articles in high rank peer-reviewed journals as well as two college mathematics textbooks for entrance examinations into Iranian universities. She actively participates in academic conferences as a committee member, session chair, discussant, and presenter.
