College of Engineering hosts AMIE Resilience Hub Summer Program in summer 2025. The Resilience Hub Summer Program with AMIE (Advancing Minorities' Interest in Engineering) is sponsored by LADWP. College students from various HBCUs were recruited to work at TSU for 6 weeks to develop a community-centered resilience hub focused on sustainability, emergency preparedness, and access to technology. Students collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to design tech-forward solutions, integrate green infrastructure, and align their work with environmental justice and equity goals. Student improved multiple skills including Design Thinking as well as their ability to conduct research. They visited The Boys and Girls Club of San Fernando valley at Los Angeles where the resilience hub will hopefully soon break ground.
