Electrical Engineering Major student Tabitha Tabb I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the NSF SENIC REU Program at Georgia Tech! in Summer 2025. Her research focused on exploring light-based methods to help recycle multi-layer plastics, materials that are usually too difficult to separate and reuse. This project gave her the chance to work hands-on in the lab, learn new techniques, and see how science can be applied to create more sustainable solutions. She presented her work alongside an amazing group of students from across the country at a convocation at UC San Diego. It was inspiring to see the range of innovative research happening in so many different fields.
