Engineering Exploration Camps (EEC) at TSU
(rising 9th-12th high school students)
The Tennessee State University College of Engineering is pleased to offer pre-college academic enrichment programs for Summer 2025 in partnership with ExxonMobil and the Tapia Center for Excellence and Equity in Education focused on Energy. Gain college preparedness skills for engineering – plus experience a special STEM camp opportunity.
The objective for the non-residential Energy Exploration Camps (EEC) is to allow students the chance to explore the various disciplines within the College of Engineering at Tennessee State University, increase career awareness in these majors and college preparation for engineering. Students will be able to learn and conduct small-scale hands-on applications in areas such as applied and industrial technology, architectural engineering, civil/environmental engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
Program Costs:
- EEC: $100 per participant (non-refundable) (meals provided).

NOTE: INCOMPLETE APPLICATION PACKETS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
Application Requirements:
- Complete online application (please indicate residential or non-residential preference)
- Upload Official high or middle school transcript.
- Official ACT/SAT/PSAT scores if available
- Upload a One-page essay describing your career objective(s), interest in engineering, and how the EEC Program can assist you in reaching your goals. Your essay must be typed, pdf preferred, 12pt font and cannot exceed one (1) page.
- Upload One recommendation letter from Counselor or Teacher that is on letterhead, has recommender contact information (email and phone #), signed and dated.
