> Jose Portillo

Civil Engineering Student Jose Portillo conducted his summer intern in 2022 at USDOT. US Secretary of Transportation Secretary Pete met with the USDOT interns for a series of conversations about his role and his work at the USDOT, and also gave advice for present and future professionals. During this meeting, he also talked about the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the projects and job opportunities it will bring. Jose is NSF S-STEM PROMISE scholarship recipient and has conducted 3 interns during his junior and senior years.
