Mercy Sammy

Intel/NSBE HBCU scholar is awarded each year to a student who has shown high academic achievement and who wants to pursue their major in STEM fields. I am a mechanical engineering student who also has been awarded this scholarship. This award will allow me to continue my education and encourage women to join the STEM field. In addition, my award will motivate other students to join the National Society of Black Engineer student chapter and motivate them to apply for any scholarship that gets sent through their email each day. My future career goal is to become an HVAC engineer, and I plan to start my own business related to my experience as an HVAC engineer. I am also planning on taking the PE exam to expand my opportunity and knowledge.
