MUREP student leaders will assist in coordinating math and science hands-on activities and supervise children in the program. Student leaders will assist in the planning, implementing, and execution of activities at various local STEM events. Student leaders will serve as an assistant to the teachers of the program. All student leaders are required to work some Saturdays throughout the academic year. Typical responsibilities and duties include:

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled as a student at Tennessee State University.

Eligible for the federal work-study program.

Proven interest in and aptitude for technology.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Dependable, punctual, and responsible.

Working Hours:

Flexible schedule, not to exceed 20 hours per week.

Hours will be coordinated with the student's class schedule.

Office assistants will perform the following duties: managing the front desk by greeting visitors and answering phones, handling mail and correspondence, maintaining organized filing systems and records, stocking office supplies. They also support other staff with clerical tasks, keep office common areas clean and tidy, and operate office equipment like copiers and scanners.
