Advising

Start Your Global Journey with TSU

Studying abroad is one of the most powerful ways to expand your education beyond the classroom. Whether you’re interested in a short-term faculty-led program, an exchange semester, or an international internship, the Office of International Education and Global Learning (IEGL) will guide you through every step — from choosing the right program to preparing for departure.

Our mission is to make global learning accessible to all students, especially first-generation, Pell-eligible, and underrepresented Tigers who want to gain cross-cultural experience, strengthen their academic path, and prepare for leadership in a global workforce.

Why Meet with an IEGL Advisor?

A one-on-one advising session helps you:

  • Identify programs that match your academic and personal goals
  • Understand eligibility, application requirements, and deadlines
  • Explore scholarships and funding opportunities
  • Learn how studying abroad fits into your degree plan and graduation timeline
  • Get personalized guidance from start to finish

Meeting with an IEGL advisor is the best way to ensure a smooth, successful experience — and to uncover opportunities you may not even know exist.
