Education:

  • B.S., Mechanical Engineering, Tennessee State University (expected 2015)

Professional Experience:

  • Staff Sergeant, United States Army (February 2000 – August 2012)
  • Research Assistant, Intelligent Tactical Mobility Robotics Laboratory (ITMRL), Tennessee State University, Nashville, Tennessee (March 2014 – till date)

Project Scope:

The scope of this research work is dealing with the development of a simulation software for context based group activity   modeling of simulated agents (i.e., avatars or humanoids) in a virtual environment. A major research goal is to develop behavior-based capability for simulating emergent behaviors of a group of avatars cooperating in virtual environment that result in the completion of a common objective.

David-1 Virtual Forward Operating Base

Another objective is to create a realistic environment model for abstract avatar behavioral modeling and execution - demonstrating real world activities in virtual simulated environment. The newly developed virtual simulation model helps us understand the seemingly non-existing link of human to human interaction that can result in the accomplishment of a common goal.  This virtual simulation model is developed using IRIS software - a comprehensive intelligent software developed at Tennessee State University for design and simulation of virtual robotics system with embedded sensor interface for real world robotics applications.

Research Applications:

Developed models can be utilized to test and refine sensors collecting data for Battlefield Intelligence, Homeland Security applications, Border Monitoring and many other civilian applications, reducing the logistical cost of public safety research.
