Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Mathematical Sciences is to prepare our majors to pursue careers or advanced degrees in the mathematical sciences or related fields by providing excellent undergraduate instruction that promotes life-long learning and an appreciation for mathematics and its applications.  Additionally, the department is committed to delivering quality mathematics education to all students at the University.  This mission aligns with the institutional mission of preparing students for professional success and personal achievement.
