Pi Kappa Lambda

The national music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda was founded in 1918 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and has grown to over 200 active chapters dedicated to the fostering of artistic excellence and scholarly inquiry in the field of music. The Society is the only music organization recognized by the National Association of College Honor Societies. Unlike a fraternity or an honorary recognition society, membership in Pi Kappa Lambda must be earned: invitation by a chapter is duly voted on and extended in accordance with the Society’s Constitution. 

The Lambda Delta Chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda announces the  2023  class of inductees.  

Lambda Delta Chapter

The objective of the Lambda Delta Chapter is to recognize artistic and academic excellence and encourage outstanding musicianship and academic achievements in music education, music entrepreneurship, performance studies, and music scholarship. The Chapter also recognizes academic integrity as an important ethical consideration in the review process. Students are elected to membership in Pi Kappa Lambda by the Chapter’s Faculty Committee, which annually reviews and nominates the candidates from among the top 20% of junior and senior classes and the top 10% of the graduate class.
