TSU Agriculture Ambassadors
Our Student Org. for Outreach
TSU Ag Ambassadors are elite group of student leaders who encapsulate the College of Agriculture’s commitment to produce leaders of distinction in science, technology, education and more. The Ag Ambassadors represents the College of Agriculture, Tennessee State University and the Agriculture Industry. They are the College of Agriculture’s prospective student recruiters, and they strive to promote public awareness of the College of Agriculture. The focus of the program is to promote leadership development, personal growth and career preparation.
TSU Ag Ambassadors:
- Represent College of Ag at various events and outreach programs
- Lead campus tours for prospective students
- Host Alumni and stakeholders at the college and university events
Requirements to be eligible for the Ag Ambassador program:
- A full-time undergraduate student in the College of Agriculture
- Have been at TSU at least one full semester before the spring application
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
How to Apply:
Students will fill out an application and submit by the deadline.
Selected applicants will be invited to interview with the selection committee. The selection committee will make the final decision on who will become an Ag Ambassador for the coming year.
Note: Ag Ambassadors serve a one-year term aligned with the academic calendar, starting in the fall semester (August) and ending in spring semester (May). There may be opportunities over the summer months for Ag Ambassadors who are close to the Nashville area. After the end of the spring semester, Ag Ambassadors are evaluated on participation and performance.
If at any time point during the year, An Ag Ambassador fails to participate or behave inappropriately they would be asked to resign.
