Dr. Santosh S. Venkatraman has a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University, and has been a Professor of Business Information Systems at Tennessee State University since Aug 2002. He has been in academia since 1990, and taught at several universities in the USA. He has published a variety of papers in the Information Systems field in journals such as Information Systems; IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics; Journal of Systems Management; Journal of International Information Management; and ACM Computer Personnel. His teaching interests include Database Management, Data Communications, MIS, Programming, and Systems Analysis and Design. His research interests include Object Semantics in Database Management Systems, Electronic Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Impact of Information Technology on the Environment, Social Networking impacts, Business Analytics, and Strategic use of Information Systems.
