According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), job opportunities in Respiratory Care are expected to grow faster than the national average with a 21% projected growth from 2018 to 2028. The growth in the demand will increase from the expanding role of Respiratory Therapists in:

case management,
disease prevention,
emergency care,
and the early detection of pulmonary disorders.

Average Salary

The average salary of Registered Respiratory Therapists is over $62,000 per year (employment survey by AARC).
