Anti-Virus Protection For Your Computer
All students must provide their own Anti-Virus software.
Some suggestions:
- Norton’s Anti-Virus Software
- Microsoft Security Essentials (Free Software)
- AVG Anti-Virus Software (Free version available)
We recommend that in addition to having Anti-Virus software that you also install Spyware Removal Tools, such as: Malwarebytes, Spybot Search Destroy, Ad-Aware, or Super Anti-Spyware. These utilities are free.
www.download.com is a reliable site where you can find AVG Anti-Virus software, Microsoft Security Essentials Anti-Virus software, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware, and Super Anti-Spyware.
While these Anti-Virus and Malware Removal applications can be helpful in removing harmful software from computers, Tennessee State University does not offer technical support for these applications and cannot guarantee their effectiveness on an individual’s computer. Individual computer owners assume all responsibility for the download, installation and use of any software on their personal computers.
