ACADEMIC PROGRAMMING

  1. Students are allowed to continue their work-based learning assignments at outside organizations. For those students performing internship hours internal to our campus, faculty and staff are encouraged to clarify responsibilities for those students. If there is a desire to develop a remote project, that is allowable. Meetings can still be accomplished in a virtual format.
  2. Online instruction can be asynchronous or synchronous, based on the process in evaluation of learning and program outcomes.
  3. Work-study students are allowed to complete their assignments; however, this has to be done on a case-by-case basis. We must adhere to current CDC guidance. This also pertains to graduate assistants. I am available if you want to discuss potential scenarios.
  4. Dean Barredo in Health Sciences has outlined specific guidance on clinicals in those disciplines, and students in those courses should connect with their majors in moving forward to the end of the semester.
  5. Research can be continued with graduate students but continue to exercise extreme caution and be certain not to start new projects that could be thwarted if the university has to limit access to the campus.
  6. The Testing Center will continue to honor appointments. External clients and students using the Testing Center must adhere to all guidelines of that unit. Ms. Coleman, the Director, can be reached at bcoleman@tnstate.edu or 615-963-7386.

ACCESS TO CAMPUS BUILDINGS

Access to campus buildings will be limited. Students and guests in buildings are the responsibility of that area. Keys or badges should not be loaned or given to any students.

If you require access for multiple faculty and staff, ensure adherence to the following protocol:

Each dean or department chair must submit the paperwork to activate faculty and staff IDs in order to work in the building(s).  Forms can be located on the TSU web site at ID/Access Request Form.  Forms should be submitted to the ID/Access Center in Hankal Hall, on the first floor.

Faculty, staff, and students must have their ID displayed at all times. Thank you for your continued responsiveness.

ACADEMIC CLASSES
