Working to Serve You
Welcome to the Tennessee State University Cooperative Extension Program.
TSU Extension is the major outreach arm of Tennessee State University, fulfilling the TSU land grant mission of university outreach and community engagement. The mission of the Tennessee State University Cooperative Extension Program is to provide research-based, useful, and practical information to limited-resource urban and rural individuals, families, small farmers, and other groups to improve their social and economic conditions. This outreach arm of the university works through non-formal education and provides programming and educational information in four programming areas:
1. Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR)
2. Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS)
3. 4-H Youth development
4. Community Resources and Economic Development (CRED)
Tennessee State University has Extension agents and outreach staff in 63 of the 95 counties in Tennessee, working in collaboration with the UT Extension system. Please feel free to contact any of our TSU Extension agents, area specialists, or staff members listed on our county web pages for any educational information. We also have approximately twenty College faculty members on the TSU main Campus, located in the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences, serving as the Extension Specialists in the program areas listed above. Please visit our TSU Extension website to contact any of our Extension faculty members regarding your in-depth research-based educational needs or programs. We are here to serve the people of Tennessee, the country, and the world.
The TSU Extension agent position in Anderson County is currently vacant. We hope to have one soon!
