- Organic Vegetable Gardening: Provide professional, efficient and objective organic vegetable gardening techniques as per the USDA National Organic Standards (NOP) to farmers, extension agents and hobbyists
- Organic Certification for Crop Producers: Agents will learn professional, efficient and objectives of organic certification and process to assist farmers, ranchers, handlers and other vendors
4. Small-farm Expo:

- The small-farm expo is an annual event sponsored by the Cooperative Extension here at Tennessee State University. Each year the top 4 small farmers in the state are selected for awards and one farmer is awarded ‘Small farmer of the Year’. The expo is designed to support small farmers in how to utilize limited resources and maximize farm income.
5. TN Local Food Summit

The TN local food summits are a community outreach program designed to promote local food sourcing. Middle Tennessee farmland once fed Nashville and it will again.

The 2015 summit was sponsored by Barefoot Farmer, LLC and TSU, and featured some of Nashville’s best chefs offering delicious, locally grown organic meals during a full day of educational workshops, networking, and the celebration of another great growing season.
- The 2016 summit is scheduled for December 2-4, 2016 at the TSU Avon Williams Campus in downtown Nashville. Please make your plans to attend, support, and learn about local food.
