REFEREED PAPERS & PRESENTATIONS
In addition to journal publications, my research has been disseminated through conference proceedings and presentations. In agricultural education, papers submitted for research conference proceedings and presentations go through a rigorous, double-blind review selection process. The typical process begins with a "Call for Research Papers" by the sponsoring organization. Complete papers are submitted for a blind review conducted by three members of the profession. Reviewers are selected based upon their area of scholarship and expertise. If a paper is accepted, the author(s) is provided with instructions for formatting the final paper and instructions for the presentation. Research papers presented are subjected to scrutiny and discussion by those in attendance as facilitated by a discussant. The discussant's role is to review the research paper prior to the presentation for a critical analysis and implication for the discipline. The discussant's comments are also published in the proceedings. The acceptance rate at the national level is approximately 40%. The acceptance rate is comparable to the Journal of Agricultural Education and arguably comparable in scholarship rigor. This rigor is particularly true as the presenters' reputation for scholarship and area of expertise is on display among their peers. In agricultural education it is acceptable for refereed conference papers to be submitted to an appropriate journal. Although many additional refereed papers and presentations have been disseminated at conferences and respective proceedings, to avoid duplication, only the papers/presentations that were not (or are yet to be) published in a journal are listed below.

REFEREED POSTER PRESENTATIONS
In Agricultural Education, abstracts are submitted for sharing research and innovative ideas. These abstracts are reviewed and selected by a group of peers. The typical process begins with a "Call for Posters" by the sponsoring organization. If the poster abstract is accepted, the research and ideas are discussed in a "poster session" at respective conferences. Typically, the poster abstract is published in conference proceedings. Poster presentations including research that was published in a journal are not listed below. Abstracts for the NACTA conference are also published in the NACTA Journal, and therefore not listed below.
