Preparing Graduates for Administrative and Supervisory Roles

Tennessee State offers a doctorate of education with a concentration in Higher Education within the Administration and Supervision program.

Our higher education program is a 60 credit hour program focused upon preparing graduates for administrative and supervisory positions within and outside of higher education. Six hours of the 60 credit hours is dedicated to writing and defending a dissertation. Also, our program requires that all students pass a qualifying and a comprehensive examination before completing any dissertation hours.
