William "Tiger" Fitzhugh
Commercial Guitar, Music Appreciation
William Tiger Fitzhugh has been a performing guitarist in the Nashville area for nearly 30 years, and an educator for 20. Three years of study at Berklee College of Music, and later achieving his BS and MMu in classical guitar performance at Austin Peay State University, give him a wide area of knowledge and performing styles.
Originally from Massachusetts, he has performed with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Opryland USA, Alan Jackson, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Tennessee Repertory Theater, and many other venues, playing classical music, rock and roll, and jazz (and this being Nashville, country too). He is the author of the Hal Leonard publication Classical Guitar for the Steel-string Guitarist, and has arranged a great deal of classical, popular, ragtime and jazz for solo guitar.
