Eligibility

Interested in the Program?

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be:

1. a United States citizen or permanent resident alien at the time of application;
2. in their junior year at TSU (for Fall 2009 semester only); (For other years, applicants should be in the spring semester of sophomore year at TSU and have completed a minimum of 40 course credit hours);
3. with a GPA of 2.8 and higher;
4. has an interest in and plans to pursue graduate study in Ecology and Environmental Science.

APPLICATION

Please download the application form (pdf or doc), complete it , and send it back to Dr. Hui and Dr. Johnson with your official transcripts, two letters of recommendation (Recommendation Form in (pdf or doc), and a brief statement.

Fall 2009
Application Deadline: September 25, 2009.
Interviews: September 28, 29, 2009.
Decision Letter: October 1, 2009.

Spring 2010
Application Deadline: March 14, 2010 extend to April 2, 2010.
Interviews: April 6, 2010
Decision Letter: April 15, 2010

Spring 2011
We are recruiting new students right now. Please send/bring your application to us before the deadline.

Interviews: April 18, 2010
Decision Letter: April 25, 2010

APPLICATION PACKET CHECKLIST

A completed application package should include:

1. The application form with signature;
2. A personal statement (one page) discussing your scientific interests, career goals, why this fellowship would benefit you. See instruction on the application form for more information;
3. Two Letters of Recommendation;
4. A copy of your transcripts.
