Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity
The Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates (COTAD) is a national organization that works to promote equitable healthcare outcomes.
COTAD is a team of OT students, educators, and advocates that works towards increasing the ability of occupational therapy practitioners to serve through open discussion about current events, bias, and the impact culture has on occupation.
Tennessee State University has a Chapter with goals of creating opportunities and resources to foster open conversation and increase awareness of cultural humility, work alongside COTAD leadership, collaborate, attend events, and share resources with other programs, and prepare future clinicians.
