Explanation of Fees
International Student Fee
An additional fee charged to students classified as International who are enrolled for credit courses, including audit courses.
Maintenance Fee
An enrollment or registration fee calculated based on the number of credit hours for which the student enrolls.
Orientation Fee
A one-time fee charged to first-time students enrolled for twelve (12) or more hours for credit in a semester (or six (6) credit hours if first enrollment occurs in a summer term) or those students enrolled with an accumulation of 36 semester hours who have never been assessed the fee.
Out-of-State-Tuition
A fee charged to students classified as nonresidents of the state of Tennessee who are enrolled for credit courses, including audit courses. This fee is in addition to the maintenance fee.
Program and Service Fee
A fee assessed for the following fees at an hourly rate: Campus access, technology access, student activity, athletics, graduation, international education, debt service, postal service, and student government.
