Voluntary Separation Plan (VSP)
We are pleased to announce a one-time Voluntary Separation Plan (VSP) for eligible faculty. This program is intended to recognize and reward the sustained contributions of our faculty while supporting the University’s long-term strength and sustainability.
This opportunity is available to full-time faculty who:
- Have at least five total years of service at TSU;
- Are not in critical grant-funded positions (i.e., a position that is not primarily funded by an awarded or submitted grant, or whose services are critical to the grant activity );
- Are not contract or temporary employees, student workers, or graduate assistants;
- Are not deans or cabinet members; and
- Have not already announced their retirement or resignation.
Faculty who apply and are approved for participation will receive:
- A lump-sum payment equal to one (1) year of their base salary; and
- A lump-sum amount equivalent to twelve (12) months of the University's portion of premium (amount varies based on actual plan election).
Participation in the VSP is entirely voluntary. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval, as decisions will be made based on programmatic and business continuity needs.
