Bio: Dr. Lovelace, a decorated War Hero with the United States Navy Nurse Corps Officer Program who has retired after 31 years of service to her country. She served overseas from the Warzone of Afghanistan to providing humanitarian support in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Belize, Honduras, and Kawaii on board the Navy Ship- U.S.N.S. Comfort. While overseas, as a Clinical Flight Coordinator she oversaw the transport of over 100,000 Joint Force military members from down range Warzones to Landstuhl, Germany- the only U.S. Military Base for wounded warriors and back to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Lovelace is a licensed register nurse with over 40 years of experience working in areas of trauma, women, children and neonatal healthcare. She spent 5 years as a board-certified family nurse practitioner and then transitioned to Education, Training and Research in San Antonio, Texas, with the Naval Expeditionary Medical Training institute overseeing training for over 10,000 military members annually. She has worked as an Educator/Researcher with School of Nursing Programs at the University of Alabama- Huntsville, Auburn University, Faulkner University, University of Oklahoma- Tulsa, and currently with Tennessee State University for the past three years.
Dr. Lovelace’s passion for writing and storytelling has afforded her the ability to publish with Reader’s Digest, Navy Nurse Corps News, and she currently is a Ghost Writer for the United States Navy Nurse Corps Admiral.
