The TSU Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology provides speech and language services to persons with communication disabilities through the Harold R. Mitchell Speech & Language Clinic. Harold R. Mitchell Speech & Language Clinic
Speech and language therapy sessions are scheduled by appointment on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. Therapy sessions are scheduled on the hour. Speech and language diagnostic sessions are by appointment only. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES
Diagnostic and therapy services are $65 per semester. Actual fees are assessed on a sliding scale based on family size and gross monthly income. Stipends are available for clients who are unable to pay but do not meet income guidelines for reduced fees. Tennessee State University employees, faculty, students, and their immediate families are eligible for services at no cost, regardless of income level. Mitchell Speech & Language Clinic under the supervision of clinical educators who hold the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology. |
