Our sensory and mindfulness room, The Tiger Zen, is designed to provide a serene environment where students can engage in mindfulness practices, grounding exercises, and rest. This space supports mental health and wellbeing through a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Everyone experiences stress, and we believe that self-regulation is an important skill for personal and academic success. We encourage all students to utilize this space as a resource to foster well-being, enhance focus, and cultivate a balanced state of mind in a supportive environment.

Students are allowed to reserve The Tiger Zen for 30-minutes, and may use the room once per day. This room is available to reserve Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:30pm. Please keep in mind that if a reservation time is not avaiable, it is due to another student utilizing the room.

The Tiger Zen at the UCC is committed to maintaining a confidential and private environment for all users. We ask that all students who utilize this space adhere to HIPAA guidelines and respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Sharing any personal information observed or heard within the UCC and The Tiger Zen room is strictly prohibited. This policy is in place to ensure that every student feels safe and supported while utlizing UCC services.
