August 12-13 – Freshmen Student Move In
August 15-17 - Returning Student Move In
August 20 – Hall Transfer Form Opens
August 24 – Hall Transfer Form Closes
October 20-21 – Fall Break (Halls Remain Open)
December 5- Halls Close to non-graduating seniors at 4pm
December 6 – Halls close to graduating seniors at 6pm
December 6 – Deadline to cancel Spring 2026 Housing without winter break charges
January 7 – Halls open to NEW freshmen residents
January 9 – Deadline to cancel Spring 2025 Housing and remove items to receive 100% refund of housing and meal plan fees for Spring (winter break charges to still apply as student did not cancel/remove items by December 6)
January 9- Halls reopen to returning residents
January 15 – Hall Transfer Form Opens
February 1- Fall 2026 Freshman Housing Application Opens
March 2 – Fall 2026 Returning Student Housing Application Opens
March 2 – Fall 2025 Transfer/Readmit Application Open
April 1 – Summer Internship Application Opens
May 1 – Fall 2026 Returning Student Application Closes (tentative—will be determined upon applications submitted during the application period)
May 1- Deadline for Summer Camps to submit housing requests
May 1- Halls close to non-graduating seniors at 4pm

May 29- Deadline for students to register for Fall 2026 classes to qualify for Self-Assignment Process
June 1- Self-Assignment Process Opens

July 15- Last date offered for Summer Camp/Conference Housing

Winter Break Stay Requests

Per the signed housing license agreement, residence halls close during all break periods, including winter and spring break, with the exception of Ford and NRC Apartments. Limited exceptions may be granted for winter break through the Break Stay Request process in myTSU, available November 5 – November 21, 2025. Students MUST be registered for Spring 2026 courses prior to applying; Required documentation must be uploaded with the request.

Approved requests will incur a $1,344 charge, payable by credit/debit card no later than December 3, 2025. Spaces are limited and not guaranteed. Please see your Hall Director or visit the myTSU Housing Portal for additional information.
