Fall 2025-Spring 2026 Academic Year Important Dates

January 7 – Halls open to NEW freshmen residents
January 9 – Deadline to cancel Spring 2025 Housing and remove items to receive 100% refund of housing and meal plan fees for Spring (winter break charges to still apply as student did not cancel/remove items by December 6)
January 9- Halls reopen to returning residents
January 12 – Hall Transfer Form Opens
April 1 – Summer Internship Application Opens
May 1- Deadline for Summer Camps to submit housing requests
May 1- Halls close to non-graduating seniors at 4pm
May 2- Halls close to graduating seniors at 6pm
May 29- Deadline for students to register for Fall 2026 classes to qualify for Self-Assignment Process
June 1- Self-Assignment Process Opens
June 30 – Self-Assignment Process Closes
July 1- Waiting List Application Opens (tentative-- as needed)
July 1- Deadline for special interest groups to request an early arrival
August 1 – Waiting List Application closes (tentative)

April 1- Summer Housing Application Opens for Summer School and Internship Housing
May 1—Summer Housing Application—Maymester Deadline
May 3- Maymester Check-In
May 22- Maymester Check Out
May 24- Summer I Check In
May 29- Deadline for students to register for Fall 2026 classes to qualify for Self-Assignment Process
June 1- Summer Housing Application Closes
June 1- Summer Internship Housing Closes

June 28- Summer II Check-in Date
July 1- Deadline for special interest groups to request an early arrival
July 15- Last date offered for Summer Camp/Conference Housing
July 31- Summer School Housing Closes at 4pm

Winter Break Stay Requests

Per the signed housing license agreement, residence halls close during all break periods, including winter and spring break, with the exception of Ford and NRC Apartments. Limited exceptions may be granted for the winter break through the Break Stay Request form found in the Housing portal of students' myTSU account. Students MUST be registered for Spring semester courses prior to applying; Required documentation must be uploaded with the request.

Approved requests will incur a $1,344 charge, payable by credit/debit card. Spaces are limited and not guaranteed. Please refer to your Hall Director or visit the myTSU Housing Portal for additional information.
