As a graduate of Al-Azhar University and a Fulbright Scholar preparing to do my LLM (Master of Laws) in business and economic law at USC Gould, I feel extremely privileged and grateful for the 6 months learning journey in the intensive English Center at TSU. I honed my English language skills at the Intensive English Center in Nashville, where I immersed myself in American culture and prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

I am also deeply grateful to Dr. Gregersen and the incredible IEC teachers for their unwavering support and tireless efforts to ensure that all students had the best possible experience during their course time. It was a great opportunity to meet fellow students from diverse cultures and backgrounds and work with them on multiple projects in the IEC which further deepened my networks and connections, allowing me to have lifelong friends. Now, I feel I'm ready to start my LLM at a US university, and more secure with my English skills.

I joined the Intensive English Center to improve my English for personal and professional reasons. My experiences were really positive. The teaching methods are engaging and effective, and the curriculum is well-structured to cover all the aspects of language learning. The faculty and staff are not only knowledgeable but also encouraging, and always ready to help with my English journey.

One of the most impressive programs of the Center was "the Conversation Club" with native speakers. This after-class session provided me with a comprehensive understanding of American culture and taught me real-life expressions that are invaluable for everyday interactions. Additionally, the Center offers various extra activities such as potlucks, seasonal events, and field trips. I could participate in American culture firsthand, making my learning experience educational and enjoyable.

Since I joined the IEC program, my English level has improved significantly. I feel more comfortable speaking and writing and I find it easier to understand and participate in conversations with native speakers, which was challenging for me before.

 Joining the Intensive English Center at Tennessee State University was one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my four years in Nashville. I decided to enroll in the Intensive English Center to enhance my vocabulary and familiarize myself with American English terms. My short time with IEC-TSU greatly contributed to my preparation for my current studies in Real Estate Business in Canada. Through the IEC, I built a new set of friendships with people from around the world. We hung out after class, and I even traveled with a friend I met in IEC who visited me in my home country. I really miss the International gatherings, especially the potluck. I not only learned English but also other cultures. Our instructors created a safe space for us to learn.

 In May 2022, I started a life changing journey in the Intensive English Center at Tennessee State University, an experience that shaped my academic and personal growth. The structured curriculum and personalized feedback in the classes were crucial in enhancing my English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Experiencing campus life at TSU was incredible! The infrastructure, vibrant student community, and rich cultural diversity created an immersive learning environment that exceeded my expectations, and I felt like I was in a movie.

In August 2023, I began a new journey at Tennessee State University as a Master of Business Administration student. The support provided by the staff of the Intensive English Center was fundamental for my transition from an English learner to a graduate student at TSU. Their guidance and resources were very important in understanding the complexities of admission processes and adjusting to university life.
