Our Tools & Framework

How We Help Our Students Excel

The Life Design Catalyst program is designed to empower our students to act on their potential and to optimize their lives through the guided exploration of purpose and meaning. By exploring and identifying one’s talents, motivations, and connections to a larger purpose in life, we engage our students in an energetic and self-actualizing coaching process that culminates in a clearer sense of self and direction.

Appreciative Inquiry

The LDC program employs a series of questions designed to effectively evoke a clearer sense of self and meaning through intentional and directed introspection. Questions our first-generation specialists will explore with you might include the following:

Phase 1: How can I help you? Why are you here to see me?

Phase 2: What has caught your attention lately? What do you enjoy? What are you good at? How do you know when you are "good" at something?

Phase 3: Who are some successful people who do the things you do? What are their qualities? Which ones do you think you share, and which do you not? How would you use your qualities to define your success?

Phase 4: Over the next year of our meetings, how much do you want to grow your talent? How will we measure your gains? How can I be an accountability factor for you?

Phase 5: What can be improved in our action plan? Do we need to reassess the timeline for your goals, faster or slower?

Phase 6: Have you felt that you could do more? Do you think with more support or a stronger connection to what you serve, you could reach higher?
